The after-school mdt workshop is a 12-week semester-based curriculum dedicated to enriching the talents of children ages 10-14. Each participant will experience “life on the stage” as they sing, dance, and act, learning scenes and musical numbers ranging from Vaudeville to Broadway. Each performer will also go “behind the scenes” at the theater, which involves making costumes, building set pieces, props and more! The unique opportunity to perform in a non-competitive environment will allow every student to shine! Directed by caring and qualified instructors, each day will focus on specific elements of Music Theater, while rehearsals for the end-of-the-semester “show” are in full swing. The mdt workshop is sure to build confidence and character, as the individuality of each performer is celebrated through creativity, music, and performance! To ensure that each participant receives individualized attention, workshop spaces will be limited.
